Bishkek, July 9, 2022. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov congratulated the people of Kyrgyzstan on the Kurman Ait holiday.

In his congratulation the president said that if unity, mercy and charity are an invaluable moral and humanistic tradition of mankind, then Kurman Ait is one of the Muslim holidays that glorifies these values.

“Kurman Ait is a symbol of sincerity and obedience to the Almighty, helps to strengthen the unity of the people, increase the benevolence and compassion of people towards each other.

Our ancestors from ancient times in honor of Kurman Ait slaughtered cattle, bringing a ritual sacrifice, and read the Koran, expressing good and good wishes. If possible, sacrificial cattle were distributed to the needy and this strengthened the feeling of kinship and respect for each other. In Kurman Ait, such traditions gave a sense of brotherhood and kept the balance among the people, bringing joy to people. Ritual sacrifice protects a person from excessive stinginess, the immeasurable accumulation of worldly goods and causes getting rid of bad habits.

Also these days, our compatriots make a pilgrimage - Hajj to holy places.

We ask the Almighty to accept the sacrifices and pilgrimages of our compatriots.

May he grant spiritual unity, solidarity and mutual respect to our sunny Kyrgyzstan and its people, uniting representatives of various faiths and ethnic group,” Zhaparov said wishing prosperity, happiness to every home, and peace, stability and development to the country.
