Bishkek, Nov. 16, 2021 . / Kabar / . "In order to improve the quality of judicial acts on economic issues, it is necessary to increase the capacity of the judiciary, involving business associations in this matter," Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov said at the first meeting of the Anti-Corruption Business Council on Tuesday.
The president noted that economic issues, if they exist between business participants, should be resolved in the courts and not through criminal cases.

"The activity of law enforcement agencies and the judiciary is an anti-corruption litmus test. The credibility of the anti-corruption policy of the state depends on their activities. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure the maximum transparency of the exercise of their powers in the interests of the people, in the interests of ordinary citizens. It is necessary that there should be a clear timeframe from the moment of registration of an appeal in the Unified Register of Crimes and Misdemeanors until the results of consideration of cases," Zhaparov said.
The first meeting of the Anti-Corruption Business Council under the President of Kyrgyzstan is being held with the participation of members of the Council, observer members - development partners, representatives of government agencies.
The main directions of the country's anti-corruption strategy, topical issues of the implementation of anti-corruption legislation in government bodies and local self-government bodies, the role of a business association in the fight against corruption, etc. are being discussed.
