Bishkek, Sept. 12, 2022. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov during his working trip to Jalal-Abad region visited Jalal-Abad Oil Processing Plant LLC.
The president was informed about the activities of the plant for the production of vegetable oil, about the results of the enterprise's work for the current year, the press service of the head of state reported.
The oil refinery has been idle for many years. In the autumn of 2021, the repair and restoration of the enterprise began. In March of this year, the plant began its work. From March to September 2022, the company produced 900 tons of butter. For the production of oil, foreign raw materials are used.
To date, the plant uses only 40% of its capacity. The company also plans to launch a cotton processing plant.
After listening to the information, Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the oil processing plant has a high export potential and paid special attention to the issue of using local raw materials in the production of vegetable oil, modernizing the plant and improving the quality of products.
He stressed the importance of the operation of such factories to ensure the country's food security, so the state will support such enterprises.
