Bishkek, March 15, 2022. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov had a telephone conversation with the incumbent President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the elected president of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
During the conversation with the incumbent President of Turkmenistan, Sadyr Zhaparov congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the successful holding of the presidential elections on March 12 this year.
Sadyr Zhaparov thanked Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his personal attention to the development of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. He also expressed readiness to maintain constructive contacts with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as Chairman of the upper house of parliament.
The sides exchanged views on topical issues of the regional agenda.
At the same time, Sadyr Zhaparov congratulated Serdar Berdimuhamedov on his unconditional victory in the presidential elections and wished him great success in the highest state post.
The sides discussed the Kyrgyz-Turkmen bilateral cooperation. Sadyr Zhaparov invited the elected President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to visit Kyrgyzstan to participate in the fourth consultative meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, which is scheduled for July 21, 2022 on the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake.
