Sadyr Zhaparov had telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin

Bishkek, Sept. 18, 2022 /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the press service of the head of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The leaders of the countries discussed the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border.

Sadyr Zhaparov informed Vladimir Putin about the current state of affairs, the number of dead and injured on the Kyrgyz side, and the destruction of civil and social infrastructure facilities in the border villages of Batken Oblast of Kyrgyzstan as a result of clashes.

Both sides stressed the importance of the soonest settlement of the crisis situation between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan exclusively by peaceful diplomatic means.
