Sadyr Zhaparov holds series of phone talks with leaders of CSTO countries

Bishkek, Jan. 6, 2022 . / Kabar / . Last night, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov held a number telephone conversations with leaders of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), his press service said.

Thus, the Kyrgyz leader talked over phone with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The leaders discussed the current situation in Kazakhstan.

Sadyr Zhaparov expressed concern over information coming from the neighboring country about human casualties, numerous cases of looting and pogroms, and other facts of violence.

The sides discussed a common position on ensuring security in accordance with the CSTO Charter on Crisis Response.
