Sadyr Zhaparov meets with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban

Bishkek, Aug. 21, 2023. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban as part of his working visit to Budapest.

Topical issues of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian strategic partnership, deepening cooperation in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed.

Viktor Orban, warmly welcoming President Sadyr Zhaparov, thanked for accepting the invitation to visit the country to participate in the festive events dedicated to the main national holiday of Hungary and the opening of the World Championships in Athletics.

He recalled that the visit of Sadyr Zhaparov to Hungary, which took place in February this year, was successful and gave a great impetus to the development of bilateral relations. Today, positive achievements are noted in a number of areas, in accordance with the agreements of the February visit.

Viktor Orban expressed gratitude to Sadyr Zhaparov for his efforts to develop bilateral cooperation, despite the geographical distance between the two countries, it is possible to promote relations between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary.

Speaking about the deepening of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian cooperation, Viktor Orban emphasized the need to open a direct flight between the capitals of the two states in order to bring the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Hungary closer.

Sadyr Zhaparov thanked Viktor Orban for the invitation to pay a visit to the country.

Outlining economic relations, Sadyr Zhaparov stressed that the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation with Hungary is a priority for Kyrgyzstan. According to the results of five months of this year. positive dynamics of trade turnover between the two countries was noted compared to the same period last year. It is important to maintain this momentum and make efforts to further increase mutual trade.

Taking the opportunity, Sadyr Zhaparov invited Viktor Orban to pay a state visit to Kyrgyzstan at a convenient time for him.

The parties expressed confidence that the strategic partnership between the two sides will continue to be strengthened and expanded in all areas of interaction.
