Bishkek, Nov. 28, 2024 . / Kabar / . President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met with representatives of German companies as part of his official visit to Berlin.

The Kyrgyz leader noted with satisfaction the wide representation of German business companies at the meeting, including both heads of companies already operating in Kyrgyzstan and companies considering the possibility of cooperation with the republic.

Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the last two years were marked by the successful holding of three Kyrgyz-German business forums, as well as two meetings of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council with the personal participation of Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov.

He emphasized that Germany has been a reliable partner of Kyrgyzstan in the European Union for many years. The Kyrgyz side is interested not only in preserving but also in deepening this cooperation.

"Germany has realized a number of successful projects in Kyrgyzstan during more than 30 years of mutual cooperation," the president of Kyrgyzstan stressed.

He told the representatives of German business about the Law on Protection of Rights and Funds of Private Entrepreneurs and Foreign Investors adopted in the country this year.

Zhaparov emphasized that the country has a liberal legislative framework for the protection of the rights and interests of investors. Investors investing capital in priority sectors of the economy are granted certain privileges and preferences. The country has a simplified taxation system. He noted that this is only a small part of what is being actively implemented in Kyrgyzstan today.

"I, as head of state, am interested in increasing investment from Germany. We pay special attention to German companies that want to work in our country. In order to keep up with the times, we need German new technologies in various spheres: mining, industry, agriculture, transportation and energy sector," the head of state added, urging the German business community to consider these areas.

He also noted that for effective implementation of any international project, active participation of banks is necessary. It is gratifying that such banks as AKA and ODDO-Bank are actively involved in the process of realization of joint projects in Kyrgyzstan.

The Kyrgyz side expects that German banks will become one of the key elements in the transfer of German technologies to Kyrgyzstan.
