Bishkek, June 18, 2021. / Kabar / . President Sadyr Zhaparov met with residents of At-Bashy region within his working trip to Naryn Oblast of the country, his press service said Friday.
The head of state met with the local residents and answered their questions concerning land transformation, drinking water supply, power tariffs, construction of social facilities, road infrastructure, and issues of personal nature.
Sadyr Zhaparov told about the medium-term development plans of the country, including the reform of local self-government bodies, measures to increase agricultural production and reduce the interest rate of concessional loans for entrepreneurs and farmers, the ongoing activities to combat corruption, work to attract foreign investment in various sectors of the economy.
The president also spoke about the decision to create in the near future the Naryn Oblast Development Fund, to which 0.6% of the gross profit of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC will be allocated annually. These funds will be used for the socio-economic development of the region.
During the meeting, among other issues, the project on the construction of a trade and logistics center on the territory of At-Bashy region was discussed.
According to the Kyrgyz leader, as of today, investors from different countries are ready to invest in this project and industrial, textile and other enterprises producing many goods will be located here.
He emphasized that with the construction of the trade and logistics center there will be an opportunity to create up to 30 thousand new jobs and this will be a great help in the socio-economic development of the Naryn oblast, which is currently a subsidized region.
