Bishkek, Aug. 6, 2021 /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev as part of his participation in the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of States of Central Asia in Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan.
The press service of the Kyrgyz president said that topicsl issues of bilateral cooperation and deepening of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek strategic partnership in trade, economic, energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed.
Sadyr Zhaparov noted with satisfaction the traditionally high level of interaction between the two fraternal countries, which cover almost all spheres of interaction.
He especially stressed that deepening mutually beneficial multifaceted cooperation, as well as strengthening good-neighborly relations is in the long-term interests of the two peoples.
The Kyrgyz president President noted that the visits and events that took place at the beginning of this year, first of all, his state visit to Uzbekistan, are a vivid confirmation of this.
He also said that the results of the specific reached agreements express the political will and the unchanging position of the countries, in addition, the task has been set in trade and economic cooperation to achieve in the coming years the volume of trade up to 2 billion US dollars.
In turn, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted his readiness to continue deepening bilateral cooperation in all relevant areas of mutual interest.
At the end of the bilateral meeting, the sides expressed confidence that all the agreements reached by the heads of the two states would be implemented by joint efforts.
