Bishkek, May 17, 2022. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on May 16, the press service of the Kyrgyz president reported.
At the meeting in a tête-à-tête format, the leaders of the countries discussed the current areas of Kyrgyz-Russian bilateral cooperation.
President Vladimir Putin stressed that, in general, relations between the parties are developing positively.
He noted last year's serious growth in trade, adding that Russia confidently occupies the first position in the trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan.
Vladimir Putin expressed satisfaction that on the sidelines of the CSTO summit there is an opportunity for face-to-face discussion of joint cooperation areas.
Sadyr Zhaparov, in turn, thanked Vladimir Putin for the warm welcome and once again congratulated him on the 77th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries.
Zhaparov expressed readiness and interest in mutual cooperation with the Russian Federation in all areas.
