Bishkek, Sept. 16, 2024 /Kabar/. Today, September 16, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met with students and their teachers who won medals among schoolchildren in STEM disciplines at international Olympiads, as well as with winners and coaches of the World Youth Championship (U20) in Greco-Roman wrestling.
Congratulating young intellectuals and athletes, Sadyr Zhaparov noted that in recent years the state has been providing comprehensive support in all areas, including to children who have the opportunity to glorify the flag of Kyrgyzstan abroad. He emphasized that thanks to such care, patriotic youth achieve the expected results.
The head of state noted that 2024 has become a landmark year for the country. For the first time in the history of Kyrgyzstan, schoolchildren have achieved significant success in international Olympiads in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, winning medals in such subjects as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and computer science. These successes are the result of the tireless work of students and teachers and confirm that the education system is moving in the right direction.
The president is confident that the winners, thanks to the knowledge they have gained, will make a significant contribution to the development of the economy and scientific potential of the country in the future.
Sadyr Zhaparov, drawing the attention of those gathered, noted that currently the country is focusing on the development of industry, there is a need for educated young specialists capable of working in various industries, from manufacturing to energy and agriculture. He hopes that young specialists receiving education in the field of STEM will be able to fill the existing vacuum and become professionals in these areas.
Sadyr Zhaparov also noted the athletic achievements of young wrestlers who won medals at the U20 World Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships in Spain. The head of state noted that behind every success there are many years of hard training.
The president cited scientific research as an example, according to which, in order to achieve mastery in any field, it is necessary to spend about 10,000 hours on training and improvement. He emphasized that to win, not only decisive will and iron discipline are needed, but also the ability to remain calm in any conditions. Only those who strictly adhere to these principles can make a significant contribution to their lives, the lives of their families and the entire country.
In conclusion, President Sadyr Zhaparov expressed gratitude to students and athletes, teachers and coaches for their persistence and work, which bore fruit and became an example for future generations, contributing to the history of education and sports in Kyrgyzstan.
