Bishkek, Aug. 6, 2021. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov voiced a number of proposals to improve the interaction of Central Asian countries in the fight against coronavirus infection, speaking at the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States in Turkmenbashi city of Turkmenistan, his press service said.
Sadyr Zhaparov noted that strengthening and expanding international cooperation in responding to the pandemic, primarily with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Commonwealth of Independent States, has become an important aspect of the work to combat the pandemic.
In this regard, Sadyr Zhaparov voiced a number of proposals for improving interaction that require special attention, in particular, these are issues of vaccination.
“The Kyrgyz side supports the initiative of neighboring countries to create centers of traditional medicine, as well as to develop further scientific and practical cooperation between health systems, including in the digitalization of medicine, telemedicine, construction of laboratories, training and exchange of information so that by joint efforts create a highly effective and powerful public health system. It is also necessary to resolve the issues of mutual recognition of test results, certificates or COVID-19 vaccination passports,” the president said.
In addition, the head of state noted that Kyrgyzstan considers it important to ensure freedom of movement of goods, services and labor, socio-economic support for business, and support for agricultural producers.
In this context, Sadyr Zhaparov once again emphasized the importance of creating favorable conditions and unifying medical requirements for drivers of heavy vehicles carrying out international transport.
At the end of his speech, President Sadyr Zhaparov noted the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to hold the next consultative meeting in 2022 in the Kyrgyz Republic.
