Bishkek, Nov. 17, 2024. /Kabar/. Over the past 30 years, Kyrgyzstan has seen 3 revolutions, and all of them were because of elections - either parliamentary or presidential, President Sadyr Zhaparov told reporters.

He said that for this reason, the president made statements to the people twice, at the beginning of the election campaign and through his page on social networks, because it was necessary to clearly convey to the people that the electoral system and government had improved and that the people should now vote for themselves.

“Previously, the electoral system was not automated, we printed ballots in Uchkun and delivered them to the regions by trucks, distributed them to polling stations with supplies. There were cases when the vote of one was forged for another. There is no human factor in the election system now, the ballot box does everything, counts and issues ballots. And the results for the entire republic will be released in the evening, and they will be counted in 20-30 minutes. After registration, a voter is given only one ballot. This person will not be able to vote in another place during the day. There are no "carousels" like before, when they were taken from one village to another. I want to appeal to everyone! There is still time until the evening, come and participate in the elections, citizens from 18 to 100 years old, regardless of who you are, be sure to participate in the elections, not for me, but for yourself! Because the winning candidate or party will decide your fate for the next 5 years. Many do not attach importance to this. They will distribute the budget, decide where to direct the money, give consent to fix the budget. If, as before, corrupt officials and vote-buyers come, they will steal this money. If the people hold clean elections, this will not happen again,” he said.
