Bishkek, Sept. 10, 2024 /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov today, September 10, received credentials from ambassadors accredited with residence in third countries.
The credentials were presented by the ambassadors of the Republic of Colombia - Hector Isidro Arenas Neira, the Commonwealth of Australia - John William Geering, Malaysia - Ilham Tua Bin Illias, the Republic of Slovenia - Darja Bavdaz Kuret, the Kingdom of Cambodia - Sok Chea, the Arab Republic of Egypt - Ibtisam Rakha Ahmed Hassan, the People's Republic of Bangladesh - Mohammad Monirul Islam.
The ceremony began with the greeting of the heads of foreign diplomatic missions by the Guard of Honor, after which the ambassadors presented their credentials to President Sadyr Zhaparov.
The head of state congratulated the ambassadors on the official start of their diplomatic mission, noting that the Kyrgyz people have long valued and respected the institution of the Ambassador.
The president noted that the ceremony of presenting credentials is the first international event held within the walls of the new building of the Presidential Administration "Yntymak Ordo", which was opened on the eve of the celebration of significant events for Kyrgyzstan: the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region and the 33rd anniversary of Independence of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The head of state expressed satisfaction with the fact that the diplomatic activities of the ambassadors coincide with the era of development of the new Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, he also noted that in the last three years there has been active economic growth, and diligent work is tirelessly underway to revive the country.
"Kyrgyzstan demonstrates stable growth of at least 7% per year. In 2023, the country's gross domestic product (GDP) exceeded 1 trillion soms for the first time, and in 2024, economic growth was 8.7%. Our goal is to reach a GDP of 30 billion US dollars by 2030," the president said.
"For the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region and the 33rd anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence, 100 new industrial and social facilities were opened throughout the country. These achievements indicate that Kyrgyzstan is confidently moving forward towards sustainable development and qualitative progress in the political and socio-economic spheres," the head of state said.
In conclusion, President Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic attaches great importance to the further continuation and development of cooperation with the states represented by the heads of diplomatic missions and wished them successful work.
