Bishkek, March 22, 2022 / Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and Deputy of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Binali Yildirim.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of state congratulated the guest on his election to the honorary post of chairman of the Council of Elders the OTS and thanked him for the personal attention rendered to Kyrgyzstan. Sadyr Zhaparov positively noted the activities of the Organization of Turkic States and confirmed the willingness of the Kyrgyz side to develop cooperation within the Organization. In particular, he called on Binali Yildirim to support the initiative of Kyrgyzstan to locate the headquarters of the Turkic Investment Fund in Bishkek.
During the meeting, the president also discussed with the deputy of the Turkish Grand National Assembly the intensification of Kyrgyz-Turkish cooperation in trade, economic, transport and logistics, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
In particular, Sadyr Zhaparov stressed that Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, being strategic partners, should make every effort to develop multifaceted cooperation in the interests of the two fraternal peoples.
In turn, chairman of the Council of Elders of the OTS, Binali Yildirim, expressed sincere gratitude to the head of state for the warm welcome and support for his work in his current post.
Binali Yildirim briefed the president on the main activities of the Council of Elders of the OTS and said that its next meeting is planned to be held in July this year in Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, he noted that the Council of Elders of the OTS will assist in the implementation of the decisions of the last year's Summit of the Heads of the Organization's member states, among which is the issue of the early establishment of the Turkic Investment Fund.
In conclusion, he conveyed to Sadyr Zhaparov greetings and best wishes from Turkish President Recep Tayyp Erdogan.
