Bishkek, Feb. 28, 2024. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov today received Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia Gombojav Zandanshatar.
The parties discussed a number of topical issues of Kyrgyz-Mongolian cooperation at the bilateral and multilateral levels.
Sadyr Zhaparov noted that over the past year there has been a positive dynamics of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia, in particular, political dialogue has been expanded and economic ties are actively promoting. As part of agreements in the field of education, the exchange of students to study the Kyrgyz and Mongolian languages is actively implemented.
The head of state emphasized the importance of developing trade and economic relations between the countries, as well as the great opportunities for cooperation in the mining industry.
During the meeting, the president expressed gratitude to the Mongolian side for supporting Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the Agreement on International Road Transport on the Asian Highway Network, as well as for supporting Kyrgyzstan’s candidacy for non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for 2027-2028.
The Mongolian speaker expressed interest in further deepening cooperation in various areas, especially in the field of inter-parliamentary cooperation. Gombojav Zandanshatar noted that Mongolia welcomes Kyrgyzstan’s active efforts to combat crime and corruption. He said that this creates a favorable investment environment, and therefore Mongolian investors express interest in doing business in Kyrgyzstan.
The distinguished guest also conveyed to Sadyr Zhaparov a message from the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized the deep historical and cultural ties between Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia, the richness of the common heritage of nomadic culture and traditions.
Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the bilateral documents signed during the visit indicate the further strengthening of friendly relations between the countries. He conveyed his greetings and best wishes to the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, and noted that they expect him to make an official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic at a time convenient for him.
