Sadyr Zhaparov receives credentials from ambassadors of India, European Union and Japan

Bishkek, Nov. 29, 2022. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received credentials from Ambassadors of the Republic of India, the European Union and Japan.

Credentials were presented by Ambassadors of the Republic of India Arun Kumar Chatterjee, Head of the Delegation of the European Union Marilyn Yosefson and Japan Hideki Goda.

Sadyr Zhaparov held bilateral meetings with each of the ambassadors, discussing a wide range of issues of bilateral relations.

An exchange of views also took place on deepening political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, building up cooperation in the fields of tourism, introducing a "green" economy, energy, as well as in other areas of mutual interest.

At a meeting with Ambassador Arun Kumar Chatterjee, the head of state stressed that relations between Kyrgyzstan and India have always been based on mutual trust and friendship.

He noted the growth of trade and economic cooperation, which is the main direction of bilateral relations.

Sadyr Zhaparov stressed that Kyrgyzstan is focusing on attracting direct investment from India to such sectors as energy, processing industry, agriculture, medicine and tourism.

During a bilateral meeting with the head of the EU Delegation, Marilyn Yosefson, the President, recalling the 30th anniversary of the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union, confirmed his readiness to further expand and strengthen relations in the spirit of trust and mutually beneficial partnership.

At a meeting with Japanese Ambassador Hideki Goda, Sadyr Zhaparov noted that Kyrgyzstan considers Japan as a close and main partner, and close friendly ties have been established between the peoples.

Sadyr Zhaparov noted the existing unrealized potential in the trade and economic sphere, which needs to be expanded.

The head of state expressed his readiness to deepen the bilateral strategic partnership between the countries.

In turn, the ambassadors expressed gratitude for the warm welcome, noted their readiness to take relations to a new level for the further development of ties in political, trade, economic and other areas of mutual interest.

Following the results of the meetings, the President wished the ambassadors success in fulfilling their high and responsible mission.
