Sadyr Zhaparov receives Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary Péter Szijjarto

Bishkek, May 4, 2022. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto, who arrived in the country for an official visit, the press service of the head of state reported.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of joint investment projects through the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.

Sadyr Zhaparov noted that Kyrgyzstan and Hungary actively support political dialogue and develop mutually beneficial cooperation. “We are pleased with the positive dynamics of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian strategic partnership,” he said, confirming that the Kyrgyz side is expecting the state visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban this year.

The head of state also congratulated Minister Szijjártó and the ruling FIDES party on the victory in the recent parliamentary elections.

Sadyr Zhaparov awarded Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto, with the Dostuk Order, noting his personal attention and contribution to strengthening Kyrgyz-Hungarian relations, strategic partnership and friendship.

“We were once again convinced of this during the emergency evacuation of more than a hundred of our citizens from Ukraine,” he said.

In turn, Peter Szijjártó expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and for being awarded the Order of Dostuk. “I am proud to have received this award. It will motivate me to continue my efforts to deepen cooperation between Hungary and Kyrgyzstan,” he said.
