Sadyr Zhaparov receives Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkiye Suleyman Soylu

Bishkek, Nov. 8, 2022. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received visiting Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkiye Suleiman Soyla.

During the meeting an exchange of views took place on the further development of practical cooperation and the implementation of the agreements between Kyrgyzstan and Turkiye in the field of ensuring public security, combating illegal migration and other relevant areas.

The head of state greeted the head of the Turkish Interior Ministry and noted that his visit would help strengthen bilateral cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries.

“Turkey is a brotherly state and a reliable friend for us. Kyrgyzstan attaches special importance to cooperation with Turkiye,” the president emphasized.

Sadyr Zhaparov expressed confidence that bilateral relations would continue to be strengthened, including between the ministries of internal affairs of the countries, as evidenced by recent meetings and negotiations with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Suleyman Soylu, in turn, thanked for the warm welcome and hospitality, and also conveyed greetings from the Turkish leader.

He informed that, together with the Kyrgyz colleagues, extensive negotiations were held on cooperation in the field of security, combating terrorism and extremism, illegal migration and drug trafficking.

Suleiman Soylu assured that the Turkish side is ready to further deepen the strategic partnership in all areas of cooperation, taking into account the instructions of the leaders of the two countries.
