Sadyr Zhaparov receives ministers of internal affairs of OTS

Bishkek, Sept. 6, 2024. / Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov received today in Cholpon-Ata the ministers of internal affairs of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), who arrived in Kyrgyzstan to participate in the meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Organization.

Welcoming the guests, the head of state emphasized that it is a great honor for Kyrgyzstan to host a meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Turkic states for the first time.

"Today's important event clearly confirms that strength is in unity, and the security of the entire Turkic world is an important task for each of you. Your efforts aimed at the common security of the fraternal Turkic peoples are clear evidence of the unity that is passed down to us from our ancestors. We all know well that the Great Turkic World has a special feature - to strive for unity and direct all its strength and efforts to ensure the peaceful life of its peoples," Zhaparov noted. In this context, he noted the need to hold this important event on a regular basis for its further development and strengthening.

The president emphasized that in the era of rapidly developing globalization, joint and unified work in the field of digitalization of the fight against crime is important. The joint efforts of the ministers of internal affairs of the Turkic peoples to counter common threats should become an alliance that will last for many years, and perhaps even centuries.

During the meeting, the head of state also briefly spoke about the current relations of Kyrgyzstan with the states of the Organization, emphasizing new positive stages in the development of bilateral relations between the countries of the OTS.

At the end of the meeting, the president emphasized that Kyrgyzstan attaches particular importance to multifaceted cooperation within the OTS, as well as bilateral interaction with member states. Kyrgyzstan is interested in this Organization serving as a model of interstate harmony and unity. He expressed confidence that the Final Declaration of the meeting of the ministers of internal affairs of the OTS will become a good basis for further strengthening mutual ties and further strengthening security issues.
