Bishkek, Aug. 19, 2021 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov received on Thursday Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, his press service reported.
The meeting took place as part of a regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIGC), which is talking place on Aug. 19-20 in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul Oblast.
A topical issues of bilateral cooperation, including within the Eurasian integration, CSTO and other mutually beneficial areas were discussed.

Sadyr Zhaparov took the opportunity to congratulate Nikol Pashinyan on the victory of his party in the past early parliamentary elections.
The Kyrgyz leader noted that this year Kyrgyzstan and Armenia are celebrating the 30th anniversary of independence.
He stressed an existence of all favorable conditions to increase mutual trade and economic cooperation and trade turnover between the two countries.
In turn, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan noted that this is their first face-to-face meeting, wished Sadyr Zhaparov success for the benefit of the country and the friendly people of Kyrgyzstan.

He noted the need to work out plans for the further development of the countries, taking into account the membership in the EAEU.
Regarding the first meeting of the joint inter-governmental commission, Nikol Pashinyan supported the initiative of the Kyrgyz leader and noted that the Armenian side will appoint a co-chairman of the commission in the near future.

The sides expressed readiness to continue active cooperation in all relevant fields, including in trade, economic and political spheres.
