Bishkek, April 29, 2022. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, who arrived in Bishkek to participate in the 10th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Intergovernmental Council, the press service of the head of state reported.
Sadyr Zhaparov, welcoming Alikhan Smailov, noted that the Kyrgyz people consider the brotherhood of our peoples, their historical, cultural and spiritual community as a key factor in the development of our bilateral relations.
“We highly appreciate the Kyrgyz-Kazakh relations based on the bonds of friendship, mutual trust and respect. The dynamics of our bilateral cooperation is at a very high level, and we aim to make every effort to further build it up,” Sadyr Zhaparov said.
Sadyr Zhaparov expressed confidence that the official visit of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Kyrgyzstan on May 26 would give a new impetus to the Kyrgyz-Kazakh multifaceted cooperation.
The prime minister of Kazakhstan, in turn, conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the head of Kyrgyzstan. The head of the government of Kazakhstan noted that Kyrgyzstan is one of the main political and economic partners of Kazakhstan. “This year marks 30 years since the establishment of our diplomatic relations. Your last year visit to Kazakhstan contributed to the development of bilateral cooperation,” said Alikhan Smailov, also speaking about the successful holding of the 10th meeting of the Intergovernmental Council.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the further expansion and deepening of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan in trade, economic, water, energy, cultural, humanitarian and other areas of mutual interest.
