Sadyr Zhaparov: Through joint efforts, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan will further build up complex of bilateral ties

Bishkek, May 26, 2022. / Kabar /. “There is a clear understanding that, through joint efforts, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan will ensure a further increase in the complex of bilateral ties,” President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov told during negotiations with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in an expanded format.

In his speech, Sadyr Zhaparov noted: “Over the past 30 years, a number of important agreements have been adopted, which form the basis of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh relations of friendship and partnership, gradually accumulating the positive potential of bilateral relations. We were able to bring our relations to the level of strategic partnership. Strong bonds of friendship and brotherhood between our peoples are reflected in the work of many of our poets and writers. The well-known folk writer of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, Chyngyz Aitmatov, has a good saying: “The Kyrgyz-Kazakh people are like two wings of one bird.” The famous Kazakh poet and writer Mukhtar Shakhanov said: “If you listen to the heart of a Kazakh, it beats for the Kyrgyz, if you listen to the heart of a Kyrgyz, it beats for the Kazakh. I would like to note that there are no political contradictions between our countries - this is the main thing. There is a clear understanding that, through joint efforts, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan will ensure further building up of a set of bilateral ties, as well as constructive interaction within the framework of interregional and international structures in line with strengthening regional stability and security.”
