Bishkek, Oct. 14, 2022. /Kabar/. “Given the close ties between the peoples of the Central Asian countries and the Russian Federation and the current economic situation, one of the topical issues on our common agenda is migration processes, freedom of movement, employment and living conditions for workers,” President Sadyr Zhaparov said at the Russia-Central Asia Summit in Astana (Kazakhstan).
Since labor resources play an extremely important role in the economy, the Kyrgyz president stressed the importance of creating the most favorable conditions for citizens to stay in the states of employment, including a simplified registration procedure.
“Although our citizens have equal employment opportunities and certain preferences, in practice there are still barriers to employment. In this regard, in order to reduce bureaucracy and paperwork, it is necessary to introduce digital technologies for unhindered entry, facilitate the registration of workers in the states of employment, as well as the realization of the right to full access to medical care and insurance under existing agreements,” Zhaparov said.
At the same time, he stressed that the common history, similar cultural traditions and the Russian language remain the main unifying rod between the peoples of the countries participating in the Summit.
“Historical experience and long-term relations between our countries have proven that cultural, humanitarian, spiritual ties are many times stronger than other forms of interaction. It is this basis that brings our citizens closer together and imposes on us the responsibility to preserve and increase the cultural and humanitarian heritage between countries. We consider it important to continue the practice of regularly holding days of culture, mutual participation in ongoing cultural festivals, concerts, exhibitions, forums, to intensify cooperation in the field of education, sports, and support for ethnic minorities,” the president said.
