Bishkek, Nov.15, 2024. /Kabar/. During a meeting with residents of the new village of Zhany-Bulak in Osh Oblast on Nov. 15, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov appealed to citizens to actively participate in the upcoming elections of deputies of local councils.
The Kyrgyz leader emphasized the importance of this political process for the further development of the country, noting that voting is not only a fulfillment of civic duty, but also a step towards the formation of a culture of electoral participation, his press service reported.
Zhaparov also drew attention to the need to support candidates who are ready to solve urgent local problems and work for the benefit of the people.
In addition, the president noted that thanks to the automation of the electoral system, the voting process has become more transparent and reliable. He reminded that the innovations allowed to eliminate the previous procedures that created risks for manipulation.
Sadyr Zhaparov also urged citizens not to sell their votes, emphasizing that such actions could affect the fate of the country in the next five years.
He noted that fair elections require participation of each citizen and urged everyone to resist attempts to bribe voters, stressing that the support of citizens is crucial for electing worthy deputies.
