Bishkek, Feb. 15, 2023 / Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, as part of his official visit to Hungary, got acquainted with the activities of Ganz Transformers and Electric Rotating Machines Ltd, a company manufacturing equipment for the energy industry.
The head of state was informed about the company's products - transformers, electric motors and generators serving high-voltage electrical equipment.
The president inspected the company's workshops, where products are manufactured using modern design and technological solutions.
The company is one of the three largest European enterprises for the production of electrical equipment, and also specializes in the design and testing of transformers for various applications.
Sadyr Zhaparov asked the representatives of the company in detail about the products and was interested in the possibilities for its supply to Kyrgyzstan for installation at hydroelectric power stations.
During a conversation with Hungarian production workers, he noted the high potential of Kyrgyzstan in the hydropower industry, which, however, is currently used by only 10%.
The president said that Kyrgyzstan has large water resources for the production of electricity and now the country is actively developing the energy sector, massively building small and medium-sized hydropower plants.
The head of state noted that with full use of all its capacities, Kyrgyzstan is able to export electricity to foreign countries, including within the framework of the CASA-1000 project.
Following the visit to the enterprise, Sadyr Zhaparov gave specific instructions to the heads of the relevant state bodies who accompanied him.
