Sadyr Zhaparov: We are always glad to Russian investments in Kyrgyz market

Bishkek, March 17, 2021 / Kabar /. “We are always glad to Russian investments in the Kyrgyz market,” Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov said today at the solemn ceremony of launching the Talas Gold Processing Complex at the Dzherui deposit in Talas Oblast. The event, which took place in the format of a teleconference, was also attended by President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

Zhaparov said that today Kyrgyzstan and Russia are linked by special relations of alliance and friendship.

He recalled that at the end of last month he made his first foreign visit as President of Kyrgyzstan to the Russian Federation and stressed that the meeting with the Russian president was productive.

“We agreed to strengthen and build up multifaceted long-term cooperation between our countries, as well as bring them to a new, even higher quality level. Today we are already taking part in the launch of a strategically important project for Kyrgyzstan, which, without any doubt, will serve as a successful example of investment cooperation between our countries,” the head of Kyrgyzstan said.

He stressed that it is very important for Kyrgyzstan to provide investors with unimpeded work, in connection with which one of his first decrees were signed "On the protection of property and support for entrepreneurs and investors", as well as "On reforming the mining industry of the Kyrgyz Republic", thereby taking the appropriate course on a consistent firm policy in these areas.

At the same time, the president of Kyrgyzstan paid special attention to two important points:

- first, the need to further strengthen the comprehensive dialogue between the enterprise and the local population;

- the second - on the need to comply with all existing environmental requirements in the development of the field.

“I want to assure that the Kyrgyz Republic will continue to support such projects, which contribute to increasing the potential of the mining industry and, of course, the development of the country's economy as a whole. We are always happy to Russian investments in the Kyrgyz market,” he said.
