Bishkek, Jan. 28, 2021. /Kabar/. A swearing-in ceremony Kyrgyzstan’s President-elect Sadyr Zhaaprov was held today, Jan. 28 in the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz president, before entering the Philharmonic building, the elected head of state paid tribute to the ancestors at the monument of Manas the Great.

At the inauguration ceremony, Sadyr Zhaparov placed his hand on the Consitution and swore an oath of allegiance to the people of Kyrgyzstan. He was handed a presidential standard, badge and certificate of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, after which Zhaparov delivered his inaugural speech.

During the event, Special Representative of First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev Zhanseit Tuimebayev read out his greeting message, and Special Representative of the European Union for Central Asia, Ambassador Peter Burian also voiced the greeting from President of the European Council Charles Michel.


Hero of Socialist Labor of the USSR, People's Artist of the USSR Turgunbai Sadykov blessed Sadyr Zhaparov and wished him a successful state activity.

Further, Sadyr Zhaparov reviewed the National Guard as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic.

At the end of the parade, the elected head of state arrived in the Government House, wher accompanied by Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Talant Mamytov he went to his office.

The event was attended by more than a thousand guests from among ordinary citizens, public figures, representatives of the creative and scientific intelligentsia, and heads of leading domestic and foreign mass media.

The inauguration was broadcast live on the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Corporation of the Kyrgyz Republic and national TV channels of the country. A live broadcast of the event was also organized for the citizens on the central Ala-Too square in Bishkek.
