Bishkek, April 19, 2024. / Kabar/. The official visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to Astana (Republic of Kazakhstan), which took place from April 18 to 19, has ended.
At Astana International Airport, President Sadyr Zhaparov was personally met by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
On the first day of the visit, the heads of state attended a concert of art masters of the two countries in Astana.
On April 19, Sadyr Zhaparov and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held negotiations in narrow and expanded formats.
Priority issues of deepening Kyrgyz-Kazakh cooperation in trade and economic, water and energy, transport and border and cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed.
The parties confirmed their mutual commitment to developing cooperation in all areas in the spirit of allied relations and strategic partnership.
After the meeting in a limited format, the presidents held the Sixth Meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As a result of the negotiations, a number of documents were signed aimed at deepening cooperation across a wide range of bilateral interactions.
As part of the official visit, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev presented President Sadyr Zhaparov with the Order of Dostyk, 1st degree.
The president of Kazakhstan highly appreciated the role of Sadyr Zhaparov in strengthening the brotherhood of the two peoples and added that Kazakhstan is interested in expanding the strategic partnership and alliance with Kyrgyzstan.
As part of his official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sadyr Zhaparov took part in the opening ceremony of the monument to Manas the Magnanimous.
The head of state noted that this day is special for the Kyrgyz people and emphasized the importance of recognizing the contribution of the people of Kazakhstan to the preservation and study of the epic "Manas", called the steppe "Iliad" by the Kazakh scientist Chokan Valikhanov.
In his speech, the president expressed confidence in the advent of a new era in relations between the two countries.
President Sadyr Zhaparov also visited the National Company “Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary”, which is engaged in the development and implementation of intersectoral programs in the field of space activities in Kazakhstan.
Having completed his official visit, President Sadyr Zhaparov returned to Bishkek on April 19.
