Bishkek, March 12, 2021. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov paid a state visit to Uzbekistan on March 11-12.
The press service of the Kyrgyz president reported that the visit began with a laying of flowers at the Monument to Independence and Humanism on the Mustaqillik Maydoni (Independence Square) in Tashkent.

Further, a ceremony of official meeting of Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov and Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took place at the Kuksaroi residence, after which the heads of state had bilateral talks in narrow and extended formats.

Following the talks, the two presidents adopted a Joint Statement.

In addition, more than twenty bilateral documents aimed at deepening cooperation were signed, including the Agreement between the Governments of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek Development Fund.
The second day of the state visit began with meetings with heads of both chambers of the Parliament of Uzbekistan - Chairwoman of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva and Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Nurdinjon Ismoilov.
The Kyrgyz leader also held a meeting with Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, who expressed full readiness to implement all the agreements reached as a result of the talks at the highest level.

Besides, Sadyr Zhaparov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev planted a tree in the Alley of Honorary Guests at the Kuksaroi residence and jointly visited the Yashnabad Innovation Technopark in Tashkent.

After completing the state visit, President Sadyr Zhaparov returned to Bishkek.
