Sadyr Zhaparov's working visit to UAE completed

Bishkek, Feb. 15, 2024. /Kabar/. The working visit of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which took place from February 12 to 14, has ended.

On the first day of his visit to Dubai, the Kyrgyz president met with Director General of the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, Muhammad Saif Al Suwaidi.

An exchange of views took place on topical issues of further deepening cooperation on the implementation of large infrastructure, investment and social projects.

On the same day, negotiations took place with UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei.

Regarding the implementation of previously reached agreements, Sadyr Zhaparov said that he attaches great importance to the construction of a solar power plant by Masdar and emphasized that Kyrgyzstan will timely fulfill its obligations within the framework of this project.

On February 13, Sadyr Zhaparov delivered a speech at the 10th World Government Summit.

In his speech, the head of state shared his vision for the further development of Kyrgyzstan. He emphasized that over the past three years, the country has gone from a deep economic crisis to progressive development thanks to the modernization of the entire system of executive power, the transformation of government work, the uncompromising fight against corruption, the implementation of a new economic policy and the digitalization of the entire system of public services provided to the population.

Here, on the sidelines of the World Government Summit, Sadyr Zhaparov held a number of meetings with investors.

A meeting was also held with Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The parties discussed issues of further deepening bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE, which are of mutual interest.

On February 13, the president met with the Chairman of the Dubai Islamic Bank, Muhammad Al Shaibani, where issues of joint implementation of large investment projects, as well as the development of banking services based on the principles of Islamic finance, were discussed.

Having completed his working visit, Sadyr Zhaparov returned to Bishkek on February 14.
