Sagynbaev: Counteraction to extremism is not affair of individual states, but of entire world community

Bishkek, Sept. 13, 2018. / Kabar /. Counteraction to extremism is not affair of individual states, but of the entire world community, Secretary of the Security Council Damir Sagynbaev said at the international symposium "Countering Extremism Online" in Bishkek.

He said that the recruitment of citizens has moved to online space. Under such circumstances it is important to unite the efforts of countries in all directions.

"We are aware that countering extremism is not affair of individual states, but of the entire world community. Kyrgyzstan is an active participant in the process of global discussions and actions to prevent counteraction to extremism. A special role in the fight against this evil we assign to education so that our younger generation clearly understand the true essence of extremism. Also, the Kyrgyz government is trying to introduce new measures to counter this threat, including surveillance, interception of Internet traffic," Sagynbaev said.
