Bishkek, Nov. 1, 2021 . / Kabar / . According to the results of laboratory analysis, salmonella was detected in the finished products of rolls and sushi, head doctor of the Bishkek Center of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Kuban Kundashev told Kabar News Agency.
According to preliminary data, the fish (salmon) was contaminated with salmonella.
"Cafe chain had one supplier. Probably, a batch of fish was poisoned. Now the Pizza Empire café chain does not cook Japanese cuisine until all the circumstances are clarified,” the specialist added.
Mass food poisoning has occurred in the popular cafe chain Pizza Empire in Kyrgyzstan's capital on Oct. 23. The total number of people with food poisoning who applied for medical help in the health care organization in Bishkek and Chui oblast was 318 people.
22 of them continue to receive inpatient care, 3 of them are children.
In connection with the latest case of mass food poisoning in Bishkek, specialists from the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision Centers will inspect food outlets throughout the country.
