Bishkek, Dec. 18, 2019. / Kabar /. Director of the State Agency for Local Self-Government and Interethnic Relations under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (SALSGIR) Bakhtiyar Saliev and Head of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek, Ambassador Pierre von Arks signed a Protocol of Intent between the two organizations on Dec. 17, 2019.
This initiative is aimed at promoting policies in the field of interethnic relations and supporting the early response system for the prevention of interethnic conflicts.
In early 2020, based on the signed Protocol of Intent, it is planned to conclude an Agreement on project cooperation to support the activities of the Monitoring Center and 23 SALSGIR public receptions in multi-ethnic regions and cities of the republic.
This work is carried out in the framework of strengthening interethnic harmony, the formation of civic identity and ensuring stability in the Kyrgyz Republic.
