Bishkek, Jan.31, 2020. /Kabar/. The State Agency for Local Self-Government and Inter-Ethnic Relations (SALSGIR) under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic hosted a ceremony of signing an Agreement on Project Cooperation with the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek, the press service of the Agency reported.
The signing ceremony was attended by SALSGIR Director Bakhtiyar Saliyev and Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, Ambassador Pierre von Arks.
On the basis of the signed Agreement, it is planned to support the activities of the SALSGIR Monitoring Center and 23 public receptions in multi-ethnic regions and cities of the country, including a series of trainings to enhance their potential.
In addition, the project provides technical assistance to the Agency in the form of 23 sets of computer equipment.
The signing of the Agreement was aimed at promoting the policy in the field of inter-ethnic relations and supporting the early response system to prevent inter-ethnic conflicts.
This activity is carried out by the SALSGIR within the framework of strengthening inter-ethnic harmony, developing civil identity and ensuring stability in the Kyrgyz Republic.
