Bishkek, May 8, 2020. /Kabar/. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan will organize a salute in honor of Victory Day, the press service of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office reported.
Due to the global pandemic, mass festivities have been suspended, including Victory Parade.
"KGS 2,5 million have been provided for festivities by the cultural department of the capital Mayor's Office, the funds will be optimized and remain in the account of the city. They will be directed to more necessary needs of the capital in the future. We are glad to inform that Victory Salute will be held after all, but in strict compliance with sanitary and epidemiological rules and without citizens’ participation,” the report says.
The festive salute will begin on Victory Square at 10:00 p.m.
Law enforcement officers will be involved in order to ensure the protection of order.
