Bishkek, Feb. 11, 2018. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov, within the framework of participation in the work of the World Summit of Governments in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), met with head of Emaar Propertie" Mohamed Ali Alabbar, who is the builder of Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in Dubai.
According to the Kyrgyz Government’s press service, during the meeting Isakov said that the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic is taking active measures to increase the country's investment attractiveness, protect private property and eliminate bureaucratic obstacles for investors.
"One of my first decisions as Prime Minister was to raise the status of the body responsible for attracting investments. Now the Agency for the Promotion and Protection of Investments is a separate body directly subordinate to the Prime Minister, which allows to quickly solve the problems of investors. In addition, we adopted a number of laws that improve the investment attractiveness of the country," Isakov said.
He also said that, the government is currently implementing the medium-term 40 Steps to a New Era Program, designed for the period from 2018 to 2023, two main areas of which are related to business development. This is the national Taza Koom program, which provides for reducing bureaucratic barriers in the provision of public services by digitizing the relationship between business and the state, and the second direction We Are With Business, which is focused on creating favorable conditions for investors.
Isakov suggested the head of Emaar Properties to consider the possibility of investing in the tourism industry of the country.
"A separate large area for possible cooperation is the tourism industry. We have introduced a visa-free regime for citizens of 45 countries. Nature, mountains, lakes allow us to develop year-round hotel business and other types of tourist services," Isakov said.
Chairman of Emaar Properties Mohamed Ali Alabbar, said that in Kyrgyzstan there are real democratic changes associated with the process of legitimate change of power, economic development and business support.
"I am sure that Kyrgyzstan will develop very quickly, because you have good leaders and very hardworking citizens," Mohamed Ali Alabbar said.
Following the meeting, Isakov invited Mohamed Ali Alabbar to visit as an honorary guest the opening ceremony of the Third World Nomad Games, which will be held in September this year.
The head of the company Emaar Properties expressed interest in cooperation and noted that he would visit Kyrgyzstan in the near future.
Emaar Properties was founded in 1997 in the UAE. The main activity of the company is investing in construction projects in the Persian Gulf region, mainly in cities such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Emaar Properties, through its subsidiaries, owns various construction projects. Only in the city of Dubai this company owns more than 14,000 buildings.
