Bishkek, Dec. 31, 2024. / Kabar /. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baisalov met with director of the representative office of the international Maarif Foundation Hyusnu Birzhan.
During the meeting, Edil Baisalov announced the decision to transfer the network of educational institutions "Sapat" to the management of the Maarif foundation. This decision is justified by ensuring the best interests of the pupils and students of the republic and the well-deserved reputation of the foundation as a reliable partner in the field of education.
"During its five years of work in Kyrgyzstan, the Maarif Foundation has demonstrated the highest level of quality of educational standards, corresponding to both national and international requirements. We are confident that the transfer of management of the network "Sapat" meets the best interests of students and their parents, will significantly improve the conditions for their education and obtain prospects for comprehensive development. It is important that the process of transferring to new management takes place in strict accordance with the law, with the protection of the rights of labor collectives and a guarantee of continuity of the educational process,” Edil Baisalov emphasized.
Hyusnu Birzhan confirmed that the Maarif Foundation intends to attract large investments in the development of Kyrgyzstan’s educational infrastructure in the coming months. It is planned to expand the network of schools, introduce modern technologies and educational programs, and create new opportunities for pupils and students. These steps are aimed at promoting the sustainable development of the country and strengthening Kyrgyz-Turkish cooperation in the field of education.
The Turkish Maarif Foundation (Türkiye Maarif Vakfı) is a state organization founded in 2016 under the Ministry of Education of Turkey. Its goal is to manage educational institutions abroad, from kindergartens to universities, as well as to promote cultural exchange and the dissemination of quality education based on the universal values and traditions of Anatolia.
The Maarif Foundation is actively developing its activities in Kyrgyzstan. In 2021, the foundation's first school was opened in Bishkek, located on a campus of 11 thousand square meters and designed for 61 classes. Education at this school is conducted according to the state standards of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey in Kyrgyz, Turkish and Russian languages, with the study of English. Particular attention is paid to natural sciences, humanities, new technologies and culture.
