Bishkek, March 5, 2020 / Kabar /. Director of the State Commission for Religious Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Zaiyrbek Ergeshov met today with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Kyrgyz Republic Abdurahman bin Said Al-Zhuma.
During the meeting, topical issues of bilateral cooperation and prospects for further cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia were discussed, the press service of the State Commission reported.
Ergeshov stressed the important role of the state policy in the religious sphere, as well as the importance of strengthening the secular nature of the republic.
In turn, Abdurahman bin Said Al-Zhuma expressed his gratitude for the fruitful discussion of cooperation issues, and also explained about the temporary suspension by the Saudi authorities the restriction of umra - a small Hajj, as there is a fear of the spread of coronavirus and asked the Kyrgyz people to relate to them with understanding.
At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to continue to maintain working contacts with the aim of assisting the further development and strengthening of interstate relations.
