Bishkek, March 14, 2023. /Kabar/. A meeting of representatives of business communities from Saudi Arabia and Qatar was held in Bishkek as part of the IBIF-2023 forum. As a result of negotiations at the Forum site, large business structures of Saudi Arabia, JTA Investment Company (Qatar) decided to open a JTA representative office in Saudi Arabia.
In addition, a member of the Russian-Saudi Business Council and CEO of Areej Group, Dr. Suleiman Al-Airy, proposed opening a joint Arab-Kyrgyz Business Council, noting that for further investment, Kyrgyzstan needs to present unique business ideas that should differ in a favorable way compared to projects that are already being implemented by Arab investors today in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Turkey.
According to the representative of the Islamic Development Bank, senior research economist, Dr. Turhan Ali Abdul Manap, legislation in the field of Islamic finance is not sufficiently developed in Kyrgyzstan.
“For further investment in Islamic projects, a legislative platform is needed, in the development of which we are ready to assist, since Kyrgyzstan is already our partner,” Dr. Turhan Ali Abdul Manap added.
As a result of the Forum, the President and General Director of the Russian-Arab Research and Information Foundation, Dr. Majid bin Abdel Aziz Al Turki, proposed the creation of a working advisory secretariat for the interaction of representatives of business and government bodies of Kyrgyzstan with the countries of the Middle East.
On March 13 and 14, the first Islamic Business and Investment Forum) "IBIF 2023" was held in Bishkek. The forum is intended to become the main platform for socio-economic, cultural and spiritual interaction between the countries of Central Asia and the Middle East.
The Forum is organized by the Islamic Business and Investment Corporation (IBIC), the Jogorku Kenesh, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, JTA International Holding (Qatar) and the Russian-Arab Research and Information Foundation (Saudi Arabia) .
