Bishkek, Nov. 22, 2024. / Kabar /. A meeting was held in Riyadh on November 20 between Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov and Business Development Manager of Fas Renewable Energy Babu Anup.
The Kyrgyz Embassy reported that during the meeting, the parties discussed issues on the upcoming cooperation of the Kyrgyz Republic with Fas Renewable Energy and the implementation of joint projects for the production of solar energy in Kyrgyzstan.
In particular, the ambassador noted that for the Kyrgyz side, strengthening ties with Saudi companies in the energy sector is one of the key tasks for further intensification of mutual cooperation between the two countries, and also shared his opinion and proposals for further intensification of bilateral cooperation with Fas Renewable Energy.
Babu Anup thanked the ambassador for the meeting and the proposals voiced for further intensification of cooperation with Fas Renewable Energy in the energy sector and said that they are currently completing the necessary preparatory work for the upcoming signing in the near future of a corresponding agreement with the Kyrgyz side on a project for the production of solar energy in the Kyrgyz Republic with a capacity of up to 900 MW.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain close contacts and continue comprehensive work to strengthen bilateral ties.
