Kyrgyzstan extends school holidays due to cold weather

Bishkek, Jan. 10, 2023 / Kabar/. A decision was made to extend winter holidays for schoolchildren, Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Ulanbek Mambetakunov wrote on his social network page.

The ministry also clarified that the schoolchildren will return to school on January 16. The decision was made on January 9 at a meeting in the Cabinet of Ministers.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health recommended the Ministry of Education to extend the holidays or transfer children to online education due to the unstable epidemiological situation and the expected abnormal cold.
