School named after Chyngyz Aitmatov to be opened in Mongolia

Bishkek, April 24, 2024 / Kabar/. It is planned to open a school named after Chyngyz Aitmatov in Mongolia. This became known following the meeting of the speakers of the parliaments of Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar.

Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Shakiev also proposed to name one of the streets in Ulaanbaatar after Manas and erect a monument to the hero of the Kyrgyz epic.

Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia Gombozhavin Zandanshatar noted that the initiative will be considered. At the same time, he emphasized that today the issue of naming one of the streets of the Mongolian capital after Aitmatov is being considered.
