Bishkek, Sept. 12, 2018. /Kabar/. Schoolchildren from Bishkek won the bronze medal in team competitions at the Third International Olympiad of Metropolises in Moscow.
The Olympiad of Metropolises took place in Moscow on September 2-7, 2018. The competition for students at the ages of 14-18 from major cities and capitals of the world has been held at the initiative of Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin for the third time.
The competitions took place at city schools №2030, 1253, and 1241, as well as Yandex company. The participants completed theoretical and experiential rounds in physics and chemistry, and solved problems in mathematics and computer science. The tasks of the Olympiad of Metropolises can be compared to those of international Olympiads in terms of the level of difficulty.
The winner teams and medalists of the team competitions will be awarded with cups, certificates, and medals for personal scoring, base on the results of the intellectual competitions in physics, chemistry, computer science, and mathematics.
Teams from 33 cities of the world took part in the Olympiad this year.
