Bishkek, April 3, 2018 / Kabar /. The project Cameras in the hands of children was launched among schoolchildren in Osh, Jalal-Abad, Batken and Chui oblasts. Teachers and parents will also actively participate in the empowerment of young people. Thus, they will create videos to make a coverage of problems and interests of society.
Selected project participants will receive knowledge in the field of: social media, represent the interests of youth / citizens through participation in decision-making processes aimed at change and collective video production by using professional equipment. They will also gain an expanded understanding of tolerance for different worldviews, opinions and ideas in a multicultural, multiethnic society, the Foundation for International Tolerance (FIT) reported.
All video production produced by schoolchildren will be broadcasted through local TV channels and in social networks. It is expected that young people from all layers of society in Kyrgyzstan will be able to deliver their general message to decision-makers at the local and national levels, so that competent persons will hear the youth voices, opinions and consider them in political decision-making processes.
