Bishkek, Dec. 1, 2020 /Kabar/. Schools in Bishkek will probably open already in the new year, Chief physician of the Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance (CSSES) Kuban Kundashev told during a briefing on Tuesday.
"In the event of a decline in the incidence of COVID-19 among children under 14 years of age, the schools in the capital will begin to operate as normal from the third quarter," he said.
Kundashev also reminded that private schools in Bishkek teach children under 6th grade in traditional offline mode.
In late March 2020, Kyrgyzstan shut downed all educational institutions in order to avoid mass infection with coronavirus.
On Nov. 12, a total of 489 schools in regions of the republic have returned to education in a traditional mode.
On Monday, it became known that higher education institutions (universities) will open after New Year.
