Bishkek, Oct. 1, 2020. /Kabar/. From Oct. 6 students in grades 2-6 across the country will start studying in schools as usual. At today's briefing, Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov told how the education will be carried out and what requirements are established.
"Some countries are facing a growth of the disease. A number of European countries are already introducing back restrictions. All this is alarming, but despite this, life goes on, children should study. Education of children is one of the priorities of the government. Since May, children were on holidays, then they were studying online, but we must admit that due the pandemic, education and knowledge of children have decreased. For this reason, at the meeting of the Republican Headquarters it was decided to partially resume the educational process in schools," Boronov said.
According to him, at this stage children from 2nd to 6th grades will study in traditional mode. The rest of the grades will continue studying online.
The prime minister said the Education Ministry together with the Health Ministry have developed an algorithm, according to which classes with 30-40 pupils will be adjusted. The schools, where the number of children will amount to about 200 pupils, will work in a normal mode. Schools with 200 to 500 children will study in shifts, and schools where the number of children exceeds 500 will study in shifts with 2 hours interval.
"Besides, taking into account the climatic conditions, some classes will be held in the clean air.
The schools are required to comply with all sanitary standards, air the premises, disinfect the buildings and observe masks," Boronov said.
All responsibility for compliance with sanitary requirements will fall on school heads.
In Kyrgyzstan, all schools have been switched to distance learning since March.
Due to coronavirus pandemic, new academic year in the country began in an unusual mode - only first-graders attended schools, all others was studying online.
