Bishkek, Sept. 1, 2020 /Kabar/. Schools in the Kyrgyz Republic must strictly observe sanitary regulations, Prime Minister of the country Kubatbek Boronov said at a meeting of the Republican Headquarters.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only first-graders will attend school at the beginning of the school year as usual.
The head of the government congratulated the schoolchildren on the beginning of the new academic year and the Knowledge Day, wishing them great success in their studies.
"In the new academic year, schoolchildren, parents and teachers face new challenges, associated with the switch to distance learning due to coronavirus infection. The pandemic has made adjustments in all areas of life, including the learning process. This requires acquisition of new skills, useful habits, a new view of the educational system. I wish great success to schoolchildren, aspire to knowledge, be interested in science and new technologies, be active and executive," he said.
The meeting discussed the epidemiological situation in the country's regions. As it was noted, all daytime makeshift hospitals for COVID-19 patients across the republic are closed down, the repair of medical institutions has been completed in a number of oblasts, and in some regions construction works are in progress.
