Bishkek, Aug. 26, 2018. /Kabar/. As part of the preparations for the 61st session of the Permanent International Altaistic Сonference in Kyrgyzstan scientists are coming to Bishkek from across the globe, the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Education and Science reported.
Today, conference participants have arrived from France, Germany, USA, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Japan, Korea.
From August 27 to August 30 Bishkek will become a platform for exchanging views and scientific achievements of scholars from different schools, there will be mutual enrichment of different scientific methodologies and methods.
It is remarkable that among those arrived is a famous school of German Professor Dieter Maui. His disciples are representatives of France, Japan, Turkey - Alexander Vovin, Yutaka Yoshida, Mehmet Olmez. A new reading of famous manuscripts of Turkic-Sogdian, Mongol and ancient Chinese traditions sheds light on many events that have been “blank spots” in the history.
The current conference is also significant in that two schools for Altaistic studies are meeting in Bishkek. One of the schools dates back to 1957: in Germany, the city of Mainz, scientists gathered, researching the history, languages and culture of peoples of Altai, an enormous area in the Eurasian region. This gathering and exchange of views were so interesting and fruitful that the meeting lasted for four days. Since then it has been decided to gather annually, and since 1958 the Altaistic Conference has been convening continuously for 60 years.
The second school was founded by scientists from Japan, Korea, Turkey and other countries, who called their scientific gathering Central Asian studies.
